Foreman Succumbs To Heart Attack

Mr. James O. Johnson, carpentry foreman of this camp, died of a heart attack at the General hospital, Rapid City, S. D. on March 7. He was 62 years of age at the time of his death, and had been suffering from heart attacks for some time.

Mr. Johnson was born in Cadiz, Wis., June 15, 1887, and spent most of his early life in Wisconsin and Missouri, later coming to Wyoming to engage in the carpentry and cabinet business at Casper. In October, 1926, he moved to Hot Springs, S. D., where he was employed by the Lash Lumber Company.

He began his employment with the National Park Service at Wall, S. D, on February 5, 1940, as junior foreman and was promoted to foreman on July 16, 1941.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his widow, who lives at Scenic, S. D., and by a sister in Freeport, Ill.

Burial was held at Hot Springs, S. D., March 10.
