Camp Mayo 1934

This photo of Civilian Conservation Corps Camp Mayo was donated by Ray Hardin. Mr. Hardin's father and uncle were in the CCC. The photo, dated 1934, is in excellent condition and shows the buildings of the camp in good detail. Remnants of Camp Mayo remain at the site.

Harold Hardin was at camp Mayo in 1934 and served in other camps as well. His account of his service includes the tragic accident that his brother Wayne Hardin suffered while serving with Camp Mystic.
