The Lord blessed Lambert and took him home September 21, 2016. Lambert William Witt, 97, was born in Kranzburg, South Dakota to Charles and Johanna Witt. Lambert was a member of the CCC building bridges and cabins at Mount Rushmore. After the war he met and married the love of his life, Marie A. Winter, in September 1945. They lived in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he worked in a plumbing shop before becoming a body and fender repairman. The family moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1952 where he began working at a Ford dealership. He was a member of Saint Gregory's parish and involved in the Holy Name Society, Mens Club, Boy Scouts and Knights of Columbus. After retiring, Lambert went on to volunteer his time with Seniors Helping Seniors.
