Flaven's Corner at Pactola, South Dakota

The Civilian Conservation Corps Museum of South Dakota received 2 post cards from the 1940s. Both refer to Flaven's Corner that was very near the Pactola CCC camp. The map on one of the post cards shows the rail line from Rapid City to Mystic. It is referenced in various resources that men would ride the train from Rapid to CCC camps.

Pactola Dam constructed in the early 1950s left that area under water.
