Black Hills Echoes - July 1939

This camp newspaper was reproduced from an original.

One of the ongoing projects at the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Museum of South Dakota is the reproduction of camp newspapers. Originals are scanned and the scans are "cleaned up" and digitized. They are then printed so that visitors to the museum can view them. The originals are archived so that they are not handled. Sometimes names are discovered that are not registered in the roster of enrollees. The roster is another ongoing project at the museum and contains over 20,000 names. It is also available for visitors to view.
