1936, 4726, Crow Creek, SCS-1,

Dayton Arthur Fuller was born October 7, 1910 near Hitchcock, Beadle, SD to Burton Foster Fuller & Mabel Inez Chaplin. His parents had come to Altoona township, Beadle County, SD from Black Hawk County, IA in 1902. Dayton grew up in a large farming family and as an adult he farmed near his parents amid the small communities of Bonilla and Hitchcock.

Dayton served in the Crow Creek CCC camp and three of his brothers served in the Army and Air Force during World War II.

Dayton married on January 18, 1949 to Justina Alice Tschetter at Huron, SD. Three children were born to this union. Margaret, the middle child, died in infancy.

Dayton died due to a stroke on March 21, 1955. He was survived by his widow Justina, one daughter, one son, an adopted stepson, his father, two sisters, and six brothers.
