Hal Conyers was born August 13, 1888 in Attawa, Iowa and died June 16, 1968 in Kansas. On July 2, 1933 Mr. Conyers was living in Wagner, SD and signed up for the Civilian Conservation Corps. He had been unemployed since January 1931.

After reconditioning at Fort Meade, SD Hal was sent to Watertown to do water conservation work where his manner of performance is listed as excellent. Later in 1933 Conyers was sent to Company 1784 to work on a forest project. His manner of performance was again excellent.

In 1937 Hal Conyers was assigned to Camp Huron, South Dakota where his type of work was soil conservation. His allotment in 1937-38 was sent to Mrs. Nattie (Nettie) Conyers of Marshall, Arkansas and is listed as mother. A daughter with the name Nattie (Nettie) is also listed as one of the dependants.
