IN MEMORIAM

James A. McCullough
Born - - - July 8, 1921
Died - - - June 26, 1939

"And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works follow them". - Rev. 14:13

At Hardy, Arkansas, on July 8, 1921, a son, James A. McCullough, was born to James and Dolly May McCullough.

At the age of 14 years James graduated from the grade school at Fort Scott, Kansas. He was very active in church and made himself well liked by all his helpful, cooperative, friendly spirit.

On July 8, 1938, James enrolled in the Civilian Conservation Corps at Oberlin, Kansas. He was transferred to Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and from there to Company 762, Camp Doran, at Custer, South Dakota. From Camp Doran he moved with the company to Camp Custer.

On May 3, 1939, James became afflicted with an infection in his middle ear and after 54 days of illness, he passed away on June 26th, 1939 in the Sub-District base hospital at Fort Meade, South Dakota.

Besides his family, James leaves to mourn his loss, a large host of friends that he has made during his 18 years of a very worthwhile life.
