Lester Clayton Southwick

South Shore, SD

Records indicate that Lester Southwick served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1934 at CCC Camp Canton and then at Oden, Arkansas. He was a trucks driver. Lester was born April 22, 1913 and died in 2003.

In November of 2018 Lester Southwick's son Clayton brought copies of enrollment and discharge documents. Lester Southwick made application in Watertown, SD on July 10, 1934 at the Federal Emergency Relief Administration (FERA) administration office. He signed the oath of enrollment on July 27, 1934 at Camp Lightning Creek, F-14, near Custer, SD. Southwick was sent to CCC Camp Canton.
