Dallas Lehn turned 99 this week (October, 2019) celebrating with family, church and neighborhood friends at several gatherings in Cameron Park, California
In 1939 Dallas Lehn was an CCC enrollee at Camp Narrows in Custer State Park in South Dakota. Mr. Lehn was in the Civilian Conservation Corps for 18 months, 3 six month enrollment periods. In 2015 he visited the CCC Museum of South Dakota in Hill City with his son Gary Brill-Lehn.
Dallas had donated photo album 1, photo album 2, and photo album 3 that containe images of Camp Narrows, some of the men, the activities, and scenes from his time in the Cs. He and son Gary sat down with Peggy Sanders, current Museum board President, and volunteer Otto Bochman. The conversation centered around the Civilian Conservation Corps but included mention of Dallas Lehn's military service as well as his career.
