Carroll Harry, 87, of Ferney died June 10th at Avera St. Lukes Hospital in Aberdeen. Funeral services will be 10:30 am on Friday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Ferney. Rev. Lloyd Redhage will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen under the direction of Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2-9 pm on Thursday with a prayer service at 8:00pm. Visitation continues for one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Carroll Kenneth Harry was born on November 10, 1915, to Edmund and Alma (Bahr) Harry. He grew up and attended Ferney School and later Central High in Aberdeen He was in the CCC’s in the late 1930s. He worked for Winston Newell Wholsale Grocer’s in Aberdeen and ran projectors for several theaters in Aberdeen. Later he helped start up Casper Bus Lines in Casper, Wyoming. He then returned to Ferney and helped his brother at Harry Implement.

Survivors include two brothers; Maurice (Arminta) Harry of Ferney, Donald (Kay) Harry of Aberdeen, six nephews; Arthur, Russell, Ronald, Dennis, Larry and Mike, five nieces; Marjorie, Veretta, Renalta, Sandra Cheryl, and many great nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters, Virginia Mielke and Vernita Harry and one brother, Marvin Harry.

Casket bearers will be Mike Harry, Larry Harry, Dennis Harry, Russell Harry, Jeff Harry, and Ronald Harry.
