Kenneth H. Eldred (K.H.)

SD

1934, 1792, Mayo, F-13, USFS foreman
1935, 2766, Hazelrodt then Doran, foreman
1937, 757, Custer, F-23, Project Super
1939, 793, Hill City, F-24, Technical Foreman

The surname Eldred is found as Kenneth H Eldred and K.H. Eldred. The surname Eldried is found in the book "The Civilian Conservation Corps in South Dakota, 1933 - 1942"1 but findings within the same book and roster listings researched by Peggy Sanders2 it is most probable that these reference the same man.

1Derschied, Lyle A. "The Civilian Conservation Corps in South Dakota, 1933-1942." Brookings, SD, South Dakota State University Foundation Press, 1986. No longer in print. Available at some libraries but may not be checked-out.

2Peggy Sanders is the author of "The Civilian Conservation Corps In and Around the Black Hills" as well as others that discuss local history. She is part of a six-generation Fall River County farm and ranch family.
