Willard J. Berry

Buffalo Gap, SD

1940-41, 2765, Fechner, SCS-6,

Willard J. Berry is our popular and very efficient company clerk. The stork dropped in on the Wilson J. Berry home on October 2, 1921, and left little Willie before making a hasty departure. At the tender age of six his parents moved to Buffalo Gap, S. Dak., where they have resided since. Will received his schooling in the Buffalo Gap elementary and high schools, graduating from the latter in 1939. He entered the Corps in July of the same year. The company clerk's desk has felt the impact of his feet striking it for the past eighteen months. In August of 1940 an assistant leaders rating was presented to him and on October 2, 1941, he was given a leaders rating.

Willard has always been a good contributor to the Meade American and in addition his many exploits in the social whirl have furnished good copy for the keyhole kolumn.
