Charles Clare Pengra

Pringle, SD

Charles Clare Pengra, born June 28, 1922 in Hot Springs, South Dakota, was the son of Charles Beattie and Marie (Ball) Pengra. He grew up in Pringle where he was active in 4H. Pengra enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1943 and was honorably discharged in 1946. After his military service, he returned to Hot Springs where he worked in construction and volunteered as a fire fighter. In 1972 he married Roselyn Marguerite June in Indianapolis, Indiana. He died in Indianapolis on April 13, 2004.
