Kenneth S. Matson (Matty)

Elk Point, SD

1941, 2765, Fechner, SCS-6,

"Matty" was born September 23, 1923 at Elk Point, S. Dak. He spent 12 years in Elk Point School from which he graduated in May 1941.

He helped his father with carpenter work in the summer of 1941. On October 18, 1941 he enrolled in Co. 2765. He went through the usual conditioning period. He then went to work in the Army Transport as Clerk, and official car driver. Due to the loss of our Company Clerk, he took over the duties of this job, on January 21, 1942. He held this job till the date of his discharge this month.

His efficiency, wit, and cunning smile will long be remembered by the members of the company as well as the personnel.

We all sincerely wish him the best of success throughout his life's work.
