Steven Howard Denison

Vermillion, SD

When Steven Howard Denison was born on 2 November 1917, in South Dakota, his father, Charles Fay Denison, was 41 and his mother, Edna Marie Lowe, was 34. He lived in Prairie Center Township, Clay County, South Dakota, for about 20 years.

In 1937, at the age of 20, his occupation is listed as laborer for Civilian Conservation Corps, $30 per month. He pushed blasted rock from mountain at Mount Rushmore, Pennington County, South Dakota. He registered for military service in 1940. He died on November 1, 1994, at the age of 76, and was buried in Bluff View Cemetery, Vermillion, SD.
