Dell Lonsberry Promotes Barracks Recreation

Mr. Lonsberry, a veteran member of this company, has done much to promote interest in athletic participation by all members of the camp. His philosophy is that enrollees will take much more interest in boxing, punching bags, etc., if they are placed in the barracks where members may use them whenever they feel in the mood without a group of men about cheering them on.

At the present time, Dell has a punching bag and a pair of boxing gloves in the barracks over which he is in charge. They were bought by the men living in the barracks and remain there for their use at any time they wish, thus doing away with the necessity of going to the supply room and checking them out and returning them.

Do you have additional information about Dell Lonsberry

We would like to included it. Please write or email us at History "at" SouthDakotaCCC "dot" org.
