Ryland Elmore Syverson

The following information was provide by Ryland E. Syverson Jr.

My father, Ryland Syverson, was born in 1916. After the CCC he served in WWII from 1941-1945 in the Artillery. He received his H. S. Equivalency during that time and graduated from Ellendale Teachers College in 1951 with a teaching degree in Industrial Arts. After 2 years of teaching at the College, he spent one year teaching in Bottineau ND, then went to Wahpeton ND to start the Industrial Arts program in their high school in the fall of 1954. He passed away in Dec of 1963 at the same school that he taught at.
