George Kalmbach, 59, former owner of the Rock and Roll Drive In at NE 109th Avenue and Burnside St., died Sunday April 13, 1969 of cancer at a Portland hospital.
Mr. Kalmbach who lived at 227 SE 95th Ave., was born 1909 in Akaska, S.D., and came to Portland in 1937.
He is survived by two step-sons and a stepdaughter, Duane and Dale Davis of Portland and Juanita Storey of Akaska, S.D.
Also surviving are four brothers and two sisters; Gottlieb and Gottfried, of Akaska; Philip of Minot, S.D.; and Albert of Renton, WA; Mrs. Carolyn Berg, of Onaka, S.D. and Emily Pleinis, of Mobridge, S.D. Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral was at the Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes with private vault interment at Park Hill Cemetery, Vancouver, WA.
